MINI-RETREATS

3-5PM, £30
YMCA, ROXETH HILL, HARROW-ON-THE-HILL

SUNDAY 1ST MARCH

Wu wei - Effortless action, flowing with the natural rhythm of life rather than against it.

Wu wei - the Taoist concept, teaches us that true strength lies not in control but in trust. Guiding us to act in alignment with the Tao, the way of the universe.

Our retreat offers you space to quieten the mind and welcome presence back through a series of nourishing yin (deep stretch) poses & a guided focus on the breath throughout. Monika will then transport us to a magical sound therapy experience, featuring a blend of crystal singing bowls, rainsticks, and chimes.

Our mini retreats can be very popular, so early booking is advised.

Monika & I (Joanne) look forward to welcoming you.

Testimonials

  • Just wanted to say thank you for the class yesterday. It was my first experience of restorative yoga and I found it to be a truly magical experience. My body feels so light and relaxed today. This also impacted my morning practice today positively as the lightness in my body helped me flow through my postures much better than usual.

  • Really enjoyed the Yin Yoga and Crystal sound bath on a Sunday afternoon! Just what my body needed. Been to a few of Joanne's Yin classes and always feel wonderful after the session. First time attending Yin with Crystal sound bath, Monica was great. Her bowls sent me into a peaceful trance, and found myself drifting off a few times :D Thank you ladies for a lovely restful Sunday!

  • Yin yoga with Joanne is a heavenly experience. I would encourage anyone to try it once. Its a deeply immersive, relaxing experience - both for your body and soul. Joanne makes you feel as though she is speaking directly to you during the class - she is a very experienced, thoughtful and intuitive teacher.

  • I’ve been attending Joanne’s Yin Yoga and Sound Bath sessions on Sundays for a while and they are wonderfully nourishing for body and mind. Always interesting theme with poms and quotes sparking reflection. The practice is relaxing and allows the body to release. Try it and feel the magic.
